Child and Family Services at CCBC provides children, birth to 19 years, with comprehensive outpatient treatment for emotional, developmental, and behavioral problems. Our responsive and flexible programming is offered both in our offices and in the community.

How developmental and family issues are managed is important in a child's overall development and adaptation. When problems occur, children have a great potential for success, especially with early intervention and rapid support for families. Problems not addressed can lead to greater upheaval in the family, school, and community.

Appropriate, relevant and sensitive treatment minimizes disruption to the child's social, physical and cognitive development. Therapy may include assistance, guidance, consultation, and possibly medication to help the child and family manage the problem. Involving the teacher and parents can increase the child's chances to overcome difficulties and achieve success in school and elsewhere.

Treatment modalities include individual, family, and group treatment. Medication/psychiatric services are also available for children. Consultation services are provided for other involved persons or agencies such as Department of Children & Families (DCF) and schools.

For those whose primary language is not English, we have Portuguese and Spanish speaking staff available.

CCBC and their therapists and doctors and all that they have are a really good tool to use in battling yourself and others.
