Description of Position
CCBC is hiring a Volunteer Coordinator for the Taunton Peer Recovery Support Center. The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for building and maintaining the volunteer base, ensuring ongoing peer leadership opportunities and volunteer development, mentoring, managing the stipend program, volunteer positions and schedules.
The Volunteer Coordinator works one Saturday every other week, and one evening per week.
Responsibilities
- Recruit volunteers for the Taunton Peer Recovery Support Center
- Recruit members of Advisory Board
- Work with the Program Director to convene regular meetings of Advisory Board and ensure input is incorporated into the practices and services of the Taunton Peer Recovery Support Center
- Orient all volunteers to the policies and procedures of the Taunton Peer Recovery Support Center
- Supervise and evaluate work of all volunteers
- Work with Program Coordinator on evening and weekend activities ensuring there is staff or volunteer coverage
- Ensure full compliance with BSAS standards
- Ensure full compliance with BSAS reporting requirements
Requirements
Education/Training
This position requires at least one year of work on a recovery oriented program; experience with oversight of volunteers; degree in human services preferred.
Experience
Should have some combination of the following: Nonprofit organizations, personnel management, policy design and implementation; Also, must have lived experience as a person in recovery with at least two years of sustained recovery time; experience working with diverse populations. Employed experience in behavioral health field preferred; Must possess good organizational skills, effective written, verbal and computer skills.

Other
Knowledge of Core-Competencies as identified by the employee’s assigned department; Must have a valid driver’s license in the state of residence and submit a copy of satisfactory record of driving from the state of residence of registry of motor vehicles, as determined by the department vice president; Must complete MA and ADP Criminal Offense Record Information (CORI) process; Must have computer literacy as related to the requirements of the position.
