Description of Position

FT position in Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI) Call Center, based in Taunton, MA. Work as member of multi-disciplinary team. The MCI delivers high quality, culturally competent, community-based behavioral health assessment, intervention and stabilization services that promote resiliency and recovery. We are seeking a full time staff to answer calls coming in over the crisis hotline, providing phone support to callers, and completing referrals if needed. This role is also cross-trained on our crisis unit to provide coverage there to support the nursing staff when needed.

Job responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency phone calls offering phone triage and area resources as appropriate. The call center supports the resiliency, wellness, and recovery of all Members to whom it provides services and integrates mental health, substance use disorder, and wellness and recovery principles and practices across the service delivery model.
  • Assist in linking and referring families to appropriate services along the continuum of care.
  • Complete required program documentation, forms and mandated reports
  • Maintain appropriate internal collaboration with co-workers
  • Cross-train on the adult voluntary crisis unit to provide coverage if needed by supporting the nursing staff on the unit taking care of the clients

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling Psychology, or closely related discipline
  • Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Flexibility
  • Willingness to learn and grow in the field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
